Booking/Cancellation Policy
Booking / Cancellation Policy is similar to that used by Ballarat Tourism when it operated the Visitor Information Booking Service and is as follows –
BOOKING
TO CONFIRM A BOOKING:
A cash/cheque deposit equal to the first day’s tariff will confirm a booking. If you prefer to pay by direct EFT Bank Transfer our account details are –

Full credit card and address details are required within 48 hours of booking, in order to confirm a telephone or e-mail booking. Your card details are kept on file only and no charges are debited until your arrival day.
For stays of one week or longer, a deposit equivalent to 2 night tariff is required to confirm a booking.
The credit card information required includes –
Card Type
Card Number
Expiry Date
Cardholder name (as shown on the card)
BALANCE
The balance is to be paid at time of checkin. This payment can be by Cash, Cheque or any of the major Credit cards - Amex or Diners will incur a 3% surcharge. An Invoice/Receipt will be issued at that time.
TWO NIGHT MINIMUM BOOKING
It is Harrowfield policy that a two night minimum booking will apply to all bookings.
CANCELLATION
Cancellation prior to arrival date – Deposits and prepayments are not refundable but are held in credit for a future stay by you or a nominated friend / relative.
If during your stay, the booking is prematurely cancelled, and then 72 hours prior notice of departure is required to avoid charges for the unused portion of the booking.
Guests may arrange for the cancelled part of the booking to be transferred to other friends or relatives to offset any cancellation charges. If another booking can be obtained for all or part of the 72 hours, then there will be no cancellation charge for the re-booked section.
“No Show” - forfeit of total booking value up to a max. of three days tariff.
SMOKING POLICY
For your comfort Harrowfield is a non-smoking property. Smoking inside the house can incur a $450 additional cleaning fee plus any consequential loss due to any lost business while the house is being brought back to a saleable condition.
Guests are also requested to not use candles or Incense sticks or other odour producing products other than those provided at the house.
NO PARTY POLICY / NO NOISE POLICY
Harrowfield has a no party policy under any circumstances and a no noise policy after 9 p.m.
DAMAGE
Any damage to the house should be advised immediately and is to be paid for at replacement cost plus 20% plus any consequential loss should the house not be lettable as a result of the damage.
Guests are requested not to attempt repairs by themselves – particularly repairs which have a statutory requirement for a Licenced Tradesman.
